Heart of the Redwoods Horse Rescue (HRHR) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation that with our mission
of "promotes responsible horse ownership through education, community outreach and assistance."


We are generously supported by the community through donations of hay, stalls and corrals from
Redwood Acres Fairgrounds, horse tack, discounted veterinary care, and many other things. HRHR is
totally operated by volunteers that donate time, money and expertise in horse care.

Dear Community,

At Heart of the Redwoods we do our best to allow our horses to live in spacious pastures in
the company of other equines. This unfortunately, limits our space and our ability to take in
horses when we are at capacity. At this current time we are at our max capacity and cannot
afford to take in anymore horses.
