Dumpling: Affectionate Quarterhorse mare, age estimated at 5 to 7.  Not halter broke or saddle
broke, though there are no apparent health issues that would limit riding.  Currently in training for
halter.

Feet needing several months rehab. She was received from the recent Sheriff's department

seizure in April 2008.
UPDATE! June 27. "Lil' Miss Dumpling was stunning!  On a whim, Duane and I decided to see how
she responded to a blanket on her back......no problem!  Then, we progressed to a bareback
pad......no problem!  So, we put on the saddle......again, no problem!  She transformed to a
seasoned trail horse!  These horses never cease to amaze me! ~Sara~

ADOPTED!
Dumpling adopted by Tami!
Dumpling came to HRHR as the only horse not to be adopted during the 2008 Miranda Horse
Seizure. Our Trainer had to rope the poor mare to even get her relocated to our facilities.
Dumpling was very head shy and you couldn't even get a halter on her head. After a year of
gentling by HRHR volunteers it was discovered that not only did Dumpling have way more
training then we thought she did, she was saddle broke!! She is now adopted out to a lovely
home in Eureka where she gets daily attention from her new owners.
